Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) is located in Xi’an, the cradle of Chinese civilization and an influential ancient capital of China. As a famous learning center of civil engineering and architecture in China, XAUAT boasts a long history that can date back to 1895 when the Tianjin Beiyang School of Western Learning was officially founded. During the nationwide restructuring of universities and colleges in 1956, the civil engineering, architecture, and municipal engineering departments of the Northeast Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, Qingdao Institute of Technology, and South Jiangsu Industrial Technical School were merged here. These time-honored schools have brought XAUAT precious resources of the earliest civil engineering, architecture, and environment disciplines in China’s modern history of higher education. With these profound legacies, the university has helped keep alive the country’s modern philosophies and ethnic cultures, and has fostered a large group of scientific and technological talent for New China. XAUAT is now a university co-built by Shaanxi Province, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. It is among the first institutions authorized by the State Council to grant doctor’s degrees. The university offers 10 doctoral programs, 9 postdoctoral research stations, 27 first-level master’s programs, and 3 national key disciplines (architectural design and theory, structural engineering, and environmental engineering). A total of 27 national platforms, including the State Key Laboratory of Green Building in Western China and the China Academy of Urban-Rural Development and Cultural Heritage, have been established at XAUAT.

西安建筑科技大学位于中国西安。这里，是中华文明的重要发祥地，是中国盛世的古都。作为中国著名的土木、建筑大学，学校办学历史悠久，最早可追溯到始建于1895年的天津北洋西学学堂。1956年，为响应国家号召，全国高等院校院系调整，原东北工学院、西北工学院、青岛工学院和苏南工专的土木建筑市政类系科，在这里整建制合并。承载着四所母体院校悠久的历史和深厚文化底蕴，积淀了我国近代高等教育史上最早一批土木、建筑、环境类学科的精粹，历史性地传承了现代文化思想和民族文化精髓，为新中国培养了大批救亡图存的科技人才。学校现为陕西省、教育部与住房和城乡建设部共建高校，是国务院首批获准有权授予博士学位的单位，现有博士点10个，博士后流动站9个，一级学科硕士点27个，有建筑设计及其理论、结构工程、环境工程3个国家重点学科。学校拥有西部绿色建筑国家重点实验室、国家住房和城乡建设部依托学校设立的中国城乡建设与文化传承研究院等各类国家级平台27个。
