Shandong Polytechnic College, located in the "Hometown of Confucius and Mencius" - Jining City, Shandong Province, is a general higher vocational college approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government. The college has nearly 70 years of schooling history. It has 2 overseas branches in Thailand and Australia, and 5 "Confucius School of Six Arts" and "Luban Workshop" in Russia, Thailand and Australia. The college has held 5 Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, and the first batch of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions at the associate degree level in Shandong Province—SDPC-HoMe Joint Institute at Shandong Polytechnic College, and has cultivated more than 3,000 international skilled talents. The college leads 47 vocational colleges and more than 10 state-owned enterprises including China Nonferrous Metals Mining Group Co., Ltd. to build 15 overseas vocational and technical colleges in 9 countries including Myanmar. Since 2016, the college has initiated and held four Confucius Cultural Festivals for International Students. In 2021, the event was incorporated in China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival Nishan World Civilization Forum, and was renamed as the Confucius Culture Week for Chinese and Foreign Young Students. 1,217 teachers and students from overseas colleges and universities from 66 countries participated. "Occupation" connects with the Chinese Bridge, and builds a Chinese dream together. In March 2021, the college hosted the "Chinese + Vocational" online exchange camp of the "Chinese Bridge" group exchange program for more than 100 students from 16 countries through webcasting. The platform teaches vocational education courses of 7 modules including navigation technology and intelligent manufacturing. In 2021, the college was approved as "Chouburi Technical College" and "Congo Simple Mining Company Limited College". The college fully taps the resources of traditional Chinese culture, and provides traditional Chinese culture and vocational education training for vocational colleges in countries along the “Belt and Road”. Nearly 200 people successfully completed the course study and were awarded the certificate of completion.
