Yantai Vocational College, founded in 2001, is a full-time public university approved by shandong Provincial Government and sponsored by Yantai Municipal Government. The university is one of the "High-level Higher Vocational Schools and Specialty Construction Project Units with Chinese Characteristics", "National Demonstration Backbone Higher Vocational College", "National Quality Higher Vocational College", and has been awarded the titles of "Top 50 In Service Contribution", "Top 50 in Teaching Resources" and "Top 50 in International Influence" of national higher vocational colleges. Covering an area of more than 1500 mu, the school has 13 departments, 803 full-time teachers and more than 16,000 students.
