Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry & Commerce (GDPIC) is a full-time higher vocational college under the leadership of the People's Government of Guangdong Province. It is one of National High-level Vocational Colleges Under Construction,one of the Provincial Model Higher Vocational Colleges, and one of the Provincial First-class Higher Vocational Colleges under construction. The college has more than 647 faculty members, 22000 full-time students, and 9000 adult-education students. There are seven schools including Mechanical Engineering School, Electrical Automation School, Computer Science School, Remote Sensing Information Engineering School, Business Administration School, Economy and Trade School,Foreign Languages School. Among 43 majors, two of them gain national financial support, four of them are provincial model specialties and nine of them are provincial key specialties. The college has established cooperative relations with various educational institutions and organizations such as Genetic Computer School in Singapore, Victoria University and TAFE SA in Australia, F+U Education Group in German and Dongguk University in Korea. The cooperation in academic education, students and teachers exchanges, credit transfer, overseas internship and international certification are conducted to offer more international education opportunities for students.

广东工贸职业技术学院是广东省人民政府直属的全日制普通高等职业院校，中国高水平特色职业学校建设单位、广东省示范性高等职业院校，也是广东省十八所一流高职建设院校之一。目前，现有专任教师647人，全日制在校生22000人，成人学历生9000人。

学校现设有机电工程学院、汽车工程学院、计算机工程学院、测绘遥感信息学院、工商管理学院、经济贸易学院、应用外语学院7个二级学院。现开设有工程测量技术、汽车电子技术、模具设计与制造、会计和计算机网络等43个专业。现有2个中央财政支持的重点专业，4个省级高职教育示范性专业和9个省级高职教育重点专业。

学校坚持走国际化办学道路，积极开展中外交流与合作，努力探索学历教育、学生互换、教师交流、学分互认、海外实习和国际认证等多种形式的国际交流与合作，与新加坡创新计算机学校、澳大利亚维多利亚大学和南澳职业技术学校、德国F+U教育集团和韩国东国大学等境外教育机构进行了交流合作，拓展了学校的办学渠道。
