Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) is a key local university and a pilot unit for the construction of high-level local universities (disciplines) in Shanghai. It is a comprehensive university with salient features of teacher training and high reputation in liberal arts and a coordinated development of literature, science and engineering. Founded in 1954, the university has two campuses in Xuhui and Fengxian District separately, 19 faculties, over 20,000 full-time undergraduate students, 8,000 postgraduate students and 1,100 international students.

上海师范大学是上海市重点建设大学、上海市高水平地方高校（学科）建设试点单位，是一所以文科见长并具教师教育特色的文、理、工、艺学科协调发展的综合性大学。学校创建于 1954 年，有徐汇和奉贤两个校区，19 个学院，全日制本科学生 20000 多人，研究生 8000 多人，国际学生 1100 多人。
