Shanxi Agricultural University (SXAU), founded in 1907, is a famous agricultural university in China. It is one of the excellent universities for undergraduate teaching evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education. It has been co-sponsored by the Shanxi Provincial Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In 2019, Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Government decided to merge the Shanxi Agricultural University with the Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences into a new Shanxi Agricultural University, ushering in a new chapter of reform and development. SXAU, a garden-style institution, has two campuses covering an area of about 1905 hectares, namely, Taigu Campus and Taiyuan Longcheng Campus and research institutes all over the province. There are 22 teaching units, 19 directly affiliated provincial research institutes (centers) and 7 national scientific research platforms. SXAU has enforced a 100-year friendship with Oberlin College in the USA, participates actively in academic exchanges and establishes cooperative relations with more than 40 overseas universities and institutions in USA, UK, Australia, Russia, Thailand etc. Welcome to Shanxi Agricultural University！
山西农业大学始建于1907年，是我国著名高等农业学府，教育部本科教学评估优秀高校，山西省政府与农业农村部共建高校。2019年，经山西省委省政府决定，山西农业大学和山西省农业科学院合署改革为新的山西农业大学。
学校现有太谷校区和太原龙城校区两个校区，校园面积约为1905公顷，拥有教学单位22个，省级直属科研院所（中心）19个，国家级科研平台7个。
学校积极推进对外合作交流，与美国欧柏林大学有长达百余年的合作历史，已与美、英、澳、俄、泰等国家和地区的40余所高校及科研机构建立了合作关系。
