Fujian Normal University (FNU), a century-old university based in Fuzhou, founded as Fujian Superior Normal School in 1907 by the famous Qing scholar Chen Baochen, who served as the teacher of China’s last emperor, the present FNU is a time-honored and well-acclaimed provincial institution of higher education. With the motto–To Know and to Act, with Devotion and with Aspiration, the 21st century Maritime Silk Road Initiative gives FNU an edge in the development of her international exchanges and cooperation. FNU has had 30,000+ students studying here from all over the world since 1984.So far the University has established cooperative relations with more than 130 universities and institutions worldwide.
福建师范大学肇始于1907年清朝帝师陈宝琛先生创办的“福建优级师范学堂”，是全国建校最早的师范大学之一，是福建省人民政府与教育部共建高校、福建省重点建设的高水平大学、福建省全国一流大学建设高校，综合办学实力位居全国同类院校先进行列。
