The 2021 Chinese Bridge Winter Camp Online Tour of Sichuan is hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of China and organized by The Open University of China·Huaqiao College. It will enroll 120 non-native Chinese speaking overseas youths worldwide. This winter camp focuses on the regional culture of Sichuan, China, alternating between small group language instruction and large group cultural experience lectures, and combining live and recorded classes such as watching pandas, eating Sichuan cuisine, drinking Sichuan tea, and enjoying Sichuan Opera. We also have a variety of hands-on activities to make the winter camp more interesting to students. The 720° panoramic VR courseware and various cultural resources open up an immersive learning journey, and interactive games such as the celebrity imitation contest, word solitaire contest, and crossword puzzle contest enrich the students’ Chinese learning. The campers will have three weeks to improve their Chinese language skills, “travel” around Sichuan, and experience China.
