Founded in 1960, BJUT is a multi-disciplinary national key university offering programs in science, engineering, literature, economics, management, law, philosophy, education, arts etc. Over the past 61 years, BJUT keep sticking to the spirit of the schools’ motto “Persistent Striving the Principle, Pursuit of Innovation the Path” and promote great development of BJUT through vigorous efforts and struggles. Currently, BJUT has 3267 faculty and staff members, among whom 2085 are full-time academic faculty members, including 9 Academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences. BJUT now has over 25002 students, including around 14,000 undergraduates, 10,000 postgraduates, over undergraduates of adult education students and hundreds of international students. BJUT is an international university full of vitality in both academic and campus life. BJUT ranked 107 in 2017QS Asian University Rankings. Besides, eight subjects including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Technology was in the list of top 500 subjects in the world. In September 2017, BJUT was selected as one of the first-class discipline of construction universities in China.
