The Henan Provincial Department of Education is a provincial government department in charge of the province's education. Its office is part of the Henan Provincial Committee of Higher Education Working Committee. At present, there is a staff of 162, with 22 offices. The role of this department is to implement national education work guidelines and policies, draft local laws and regulations related to education, formulate provincial education reform and development strategies, create education development and annual plans, formulate education system reform policies, and be responsible for guidance, coordination, and supporting program implementation.

  贯彻实施国家教育工作方针、政策，起草有关教育的地方性法规、规章草案，制定全省教育改革与发展战略和教育事业发展规划及年度计划，拟定教育体制改革的政策，并负责指导、协调、督促实施。
