Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) will hold an online winter camp on the theme of “Understanding Contemporary China” from 17 to 25 January 2024 for Chinese language learners of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). This 7-day winter camp will focus on contemporary China, with 10 class hours of Chinese language classes, 2 thematic lectures, 2 International Youth Forums, and a variety of pre-recorded video clips. This winter camp features the combination of small-size language learning class and large-size thematic lectures, and of live and recorded courses. A total of 200 campers from 5 countries participate in this winter camp. On the basis of language learning, the winter camp will help the campers to read and understand China and communicate with the world from multiple perspectives and in a wide range of fields, so as to promote cultural exchange and mutual learning among different civilizations.
