Modern transportation has made significant contributions to the development of modern society and the mobility needs of human life. However, the widespread use of automobiles has had a huge impact on the environment and is causing serious environmental and human survival problems. Traditional automotive fuels in China are mainly gasoline and diesel, which are processed and refined from petroleum. Air pollution, global warming, and the rapid depletion of Earth's oil resources have become key issues of concern for people today. The research and application of new energy and energy-saving technologies in automobiles will reduce the dependence of China's automotive industry on petroleum products and lower the consumption of petroleum fuels. Therefore, new energy and energy-saving technologies for automobiles can effectively alleviate the import pressure of petroleum products in China, prolong energy use time, and promote social development in China.

现代交通运输工具为现代社会的发展和人类生活的流动性需求做出了重大贡献,但是,汽车的大量使用对环境造成了巨大的影响,正在引发严重的环境与人类生存问题。我国传统汽车燃料以汽油和柴油为主,这些燃料都利用石油经过加工和提炼而成。大气污染、全球变暖及地球石油资源的迅速递减成为当前人们关注的重点问题。汽车新能源与节能技术研究和应用,将降低我国汽车行业对石油产品的依赖,降低石油燃料的消耗。因此,汽车新能源与节能技术能够有效缓解我国石油产品进口压力,延长能源使用时间,从而促进我国社会发展。
