China is the first country that made pottery. The Chinese ancestors created those such different, vivid, and unadorned pottery pot by using their sprouting wisdom and they created a whole new culture-Longshan Culture which is following the Yangshao Culture and the Dawenkou Culture, as known as the Black Culture in history. Black Pottery is the representative of the late neolithic culture in China which can date back to almost 5,000 years. It represented a peak period of making pottery in the history of China. Black Pottery has some special traits such as the color as paint, bright as a mirror, thin as paper, knocking as a Chinese musical instrument and it has been called the masterpiece of Oriental Art. Historians call Black Pottery as the "original cultural treasures." Dezhou has a long history and splendid culture. It is famous by the pottery industry from the very ancient time and people called this city as Ge. As time goes by, Dezhou took the lead in getting lost thousands of years of black art back on the historical stage in the 70's of the last century and Black Pottery became the carrier of Chinese classic culture to spread Chinese Culture to the world, from now on, this civilization from ancient seeds combined with modern technology, full of new life. It ignited the pursuit of modern Chinese civilization, cultural industries in Dezhou leading the rise. Dezhou, which is credited with being the beginning and the growing place of Black Pottery, has embed the good fame "China's Black Pottery city" into the history.
