Chinese characters are the precious wealth left to us by the ancients, bearing thousands of years of Chinese history and excellent traditional culture. Learning and recognizing Chinese characters is an essential link for us to deeply understand China and its traditional culture. By understanding the ancient character forms of Chinese characters, we will find that each Chinese character contains a period of history or shows us the life pictures of ancient people. The logic of Chinese character creation and deep philosophy are worth exploring. This course introduces the basic knowledge of Chinese characters, the discovery of oracle bone inscriptions, the shape analysis of typical ancient characters and the development of Chinese characters, so that we can roughly understand the relation between the form and the meaning of Chinese characters and further deepen our understanding of Chinese characters.
