Chinese characters are pictograph-based ideographic scripts still in use around the world today, and the art of Chinese calligraphy has a long history with many styles. This course provides a brief introduction to the history of Chinese characters, how they are written and the tools used to give an insight into the art of Chinese calligraphy and, indeed, the Chinese way of thinking.
