1In ancient times, words out of tune were called “poems”, which can be seen as modern lyrics. Words in tune were called “ballads”, which can be considered as modern songs. Today poems and ballads are collectively named “poetry”, which includes music itself. Though poems and ballads are as intimate as twin brothers, they also boast distinctive features. This course, by means of music, explore ancient Chinese poetry, and appreciate modern music through poetry.
在古代，不合乐的称为诗，我们可以把它理解成现代的歌词。
而合乐的称为歌，也就是现代的曲。现在我们把两者合在一起，统称为诗歌。“诗歌”这个词语本身就包含了音乐，诗与歌就像孪生兄弟一样亲密无间，但也个性鲜明。本课程将借由音乐一起来探寻中国古代诗词，也通过诗歌一起来欣赏现代音乐。
