This course takes the construction of the beautiful Hutuo River Ecological Corridor as an example to demonstrate the achievements and progress of river management under the environmental protection concept of "green water and green mountains" in China. Originating in Shanxi Province, the Hutuo River runs eastward through the Taihang Mountains and flows through the North China Plain in Shijiazhuang. It is the largest and most important river in Shijiazhuang. Shijiazhuang City regards the ecological restoration of the Hutuo River as a concrete practice of implementing the concept of "green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver", and deeply promotes the governance of the Hutuo River, forming a new urban "landscape corridor".
