This course first introduces the Chinese dance from the primitive society to the feudal society. In the long historical process, it has experienced several stages of development and evolution, and gradually formed the Oriental dance art with the unique form and charm of China. Throughout the history of dance, it has roughly experienced the transformation process from primitive dance to modern dance, the evolution process from sacrificial dance to performance dance, and the development process from self-entertainment to people entertainment. Then, the origin, style, basic posture and dynamic rhythm of folk dance are introduced with Tibetan and Mongolian nationality as the breakthrough point, and the movement decomposition and combination demonstration are carried out in order to get a glimpse of the cultural tradition, living customs and people's spiritual style of a nation or region in the dance. Through the study of this course, students can not only learn how to dance well, obtain basic knowledge and practical skills of folk dance, but also improve their own cultural accomplishment and aesthetic education ability, and inherit and develop the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
