Changchun, located in the hinterland of Songliao Plain, is the capital of Jilin Province. As an important industrial base city, Changchun is known for “Motor City”, “Movie City”, “Science and Education Culture City”, “Forest City”, “Sculpture City” and “Spring City in Northern China”. Changchun with significant historical and cultural value has a long history, rich historical remains, unique urban space patterns, distinctive industrial heritages and diverse intangible cultural heritages. Changchun is one of the representative cities which are featured with modern city style. To better display the rich historic culture and the city image of tolerance, this course shows students intangible cultural heritages and the history of industrial and cultural city by selecting key scenes of Changchun Urban Planning Exhibition Center, in the process of which Mrs. Jing and Mrs. Liu may lead students to experience the urban changes of Changchun and touch the mark of the integration of various civilizations.
