Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diet is a method of regimen that combines traditional Chinese medicine and diet to regulate body functions and recover from diseases under the guidance of TCM theories. This course introduces the four properties and five flavors of medicine and food, the characteristics of climate change in spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the physiological changes of the human body from the combinations of the theories of TCM regimen, “preventive treatment of disease”, homology of medicine and food and “considerations of three factors of seasons, environment and body constitution in treating diseases”, thus further introducing how to use different diets to regulate human body functions and prevent diseases. Through the study of this course, students can understand the basic theories of TCM dietary regimen and the basic methods of four seasons’ medicinal diets and regimen, which is helpful for the prevention of diseases and chronic disease control.

中医药膳是在中医理论指导下,将中药与膳食相结合,调理身体机能和疾病康复的一种养生手段。本课程从中医养生和“治未病”理论,结合药食同源和“三因制宜”理论,介绍药与食的四性五味、春夏秋冬四季的气候变化特点和人体生理变化特点,从而进一步介绍如何运用不同膳食来调整人体机能和疾病的预防。通过本课程的学习能了解中医养生中膳食养生的基本理论和四季膳食调养的基本方法,对疾病预防、慢病防治具有一定的帮助。
