Changchun International Ceramic Art Gallery (hereinafter referred to as Ceramic Art Gallery), was established in July 2015. It is a socially oriented cultural unit of public interest, and is currently the only socially oriented comprehensive ceramic base in the three northeastern provinces to organize the creation of Chinese and foreign potters, the collection and exhibition of ceramic works, ceramic education and academic seminars. Since 2011, Changchun has held 8 international ceramic invitation exhibitions (international ceramic competition). At present, the Ceramic Gallery has collected more than 800 pieces of works created by more than 220 artists from 51 countries and regions of the world’s five continents. The works exhibited in the Gallery are divided into four parts, including the exhibition of newly created ceramic works (the same year), the exhibition of previous Chinese and foreign ceramic works (modeling category), the exhibition of previous ceramic works (vessel category) and the exhibition of thematic ceramic works (such as Ukraine), which basically covers typical works from more than 50 countries in the world and typical wares from different periods in China. In October 2019, by the vote of the International Academy of Ceramics Council (IAC) of UNESCO, Changchun International Ceramic Art Galley successfully joined the organization and became an official group member. “In line with international standards and integration with the world”has become an important window and platform for introducing China, understanding the world, spreading friendship and promoting exchanges.
