Chinese ceramic culture is an important part of Chinese civilization and occupies an important position in the history of world material culture. As we all know, China is one of the countries with the longest history in the world, and the invention of ceramics is China’s great contribution to the world civilization, and it is also China's important influence on the world culture. So China is also known as the ‘Porcelain Country”. “Chinese Ceramic Culture” is taught by Liu Yan from Changchun Special Education School, Jilin, China. It introduces ceramic culture as an entry point, and conveys relevant knowledge about Chinese ceramics to the viewers in a three-dimensional and multi-faceted way. This course introduces Chinese ceramic culture, and shows the development of Chinese science and technology, arts and crafts culture, as well as the formation and change of pottery and porcelain during the development of ceramics. The course also introduces the role of ceramics in the lives of Chinese people through the lens of food culture, tea culture, and architectural culture, using “Interesting Chinese Porcelain” as an entry point. The course also highlights some of the classic ceramic objects that have appeared throughout history, such as the Han Dynasty figurines, the Tang Dynasty terracotta figurines, the Tang Sancai, the self-flowing pots, and the Terracotta Warriors, taking the viewer on a journey through the artistic charm of Chinese ceramics. In the final chapter, the teacher also introduces ceramics and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, and the exquisite ceramics presented by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to countries and organizations around the world, with a view to confirming and realizing the theory of win-win cooperation in the integration of civilization development.
