The "Li Family Suona" was designated as a representative project of Siping City's intangible cultural heritage in 2019. The performance of Li Family Suona mainly uses suona and percussion instruments. They often use commonly used Manchu melodies such as "Shui Long Yin", "Gong Che Shang", "Bao Long Tai", "Liu Qing Niang", "Bao Ban", and "Shaman Melody". Some are used for weddings, funerals, and other celebrations of the Manchu and Han ethnic groups, while others are used as accompaniment for banquets, openings, and other events. The band's structure and organization also show strong Manchu cultural characteristics, highlighting the vigorous and robustness of northern music as well as the delicacy and beauty of central plains music.
