This course mainly introduces the traditional Chinese cuisine - dumplings. Dumpling is the traditional food of Chinese people. Chinese people love to eat dumplings. Chinese dumplings have a long history. The course first introduces the origin of dumplings, the inventor of dumplings and the reasons why Chinese people eat dumplings. Secondly, the course introduces the specific production process of dumplings, from how to mix dumpling filling, how to mix the flour, how to roll dumpling skin, how to make dumpling to how to cook dumpling, each step is described in detail. Thirdly,the course introduces seven novel ways to eat dumplings and 10 different ways to make dumplings. Fourthly, the course introduces the "eight famous dumplings" in China, including Yangzhou crab roe steamed dumplings, Guangdong shrimp dumplings, Sichuan Zhong shuijiao , Shanghai Guotie dumplings, Xi'an sour soup dumplings, Henan dumplings, Northeast dumplings, Shandong Spanish mackerel dumplings. Fifthly, the course introduces the origin of the name "dumpling" and the customs of eating dumplings during the Spring Festival. Chinese people love dumplings not only because they are delicious, but also because they are a kind of family and national feelings for Chinese people.

该课程主要介绍了中国的传统美食---饺子。饺子是中国人的传统食物,中国人都爱吃饺子。中国的饺子历史悠久,课程首先介绍了饺子的由来、饺子的发明人和中国人吃饺子的原因。其次课程介绍了饺子的具体制作流程,从怎么调饺子馅儿、怎么和饺子面、怎么擀饺子皮、 怎么包饺子到怎么煮饺子,每一步都有详细介绍。第三课程介绍了七种饺子的新奇吃法和10种饺子的不同包法。第四课程介绍了中国的“八大饺子”,包括扬州蟹黄蒸饺、广东虾饺、四川钟水饺、上海锅贴饺、西安酸汤水饺、河南饺子、东北饺子、山东鲅鱼饺子。第五课程介绍了“饺子”名称的由来和春节吃饺子的习俗。

中国人爱吃饺子不仅是因为饺子好吃,更是因为饺子对中国人来说是一种家、国情怀。
