Chinese painting is rooted in the profound traditional culture of the Chinese nation. After thousands of years of development, it has formed a unique way of thinking, aesthetic awareness and philosophy, with distinctive national style and characteristics. Meng Lei, a teacher at the School of Art of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, leads students to understand roughly the history of Chinese painting and experience the beauty of “harmony” of Chinese painting by telling about the history, growth structure, painting skills, and appreciation of famous works of peony. The Chinese spirit of “HéHé Culture” is also clearly expressed in calligraphy. Li Haiting, a teacher at the School of Art of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, leads students to understand the different dialectical factors of Chinese calligraphy, such as dynamic and static, virtuality and reality, hardness and softness, and the aesthetic spirit of Chinese people reflected in it, through the different fonts and styles of calligraphy, as well as the hold and use of the brush, the structure and composition of calligraphy.
