Ba Duan Jin originated from Yi Jian Zhi written by Hong Mai in Southern Song Dynasty (1127A.D.-1279A.D.) with a history of more than 800 years.Ba Duan Jin not only just refers to eight sections, eight parts or eight movements,but a circular whole connected and coordinated with each other.It has the effects of strengthening the body, satisfying the heart, nourishing the spirit and prolonging life. It is simple, time-saving and is suitable for all ages. This part introduces postures from 1 to 5 of Ba Duan Jin.

八段锦之名,最早源自南宋洪迈所著的《夷坚志》当中,距今已经有八百多年历史。八段锦不仅简单的指八节、八段或八个动作,它是指每个动作它们之间都是相互联系、相互配合的一个整体,循环往复。它有强身健体,怡心养神,延年益寿的效果,简单易学,节省时间,适合于男女老少。本部分介绍八段锦第1式到第5式。
