Homologous Food and Medicine—Traditional Chinese Food

This course mainly introduces the homologous food and medicine and shows the making process of three relevant dishes. Medicine food homology means that many foods can be drugs as well, and there’s no absolute division between the two. By introducing some edible medicinal food and Traditional Chinese Medicine theories, exhibiting the cooking process of specific dishes, and explaining the idea of “four natures and five tastes”, it shows the unique charm of traditional Chinese food culture and deepens international students’ understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
