This course introduces Penglai Pavilion, located in the beautiful coastal city Yantai. It is renowned for one of the “Four Famous Ancient Pavilions in China” with Pavilion of Prince Teng, Yellow Crane Tower, and Yueyang Tower. Penglai Pavilion has gorgeous and pleasant scenery, for which it is regarded as “Fairyland in Earthly World”. In 2007, Penglai Pavilion was listed into the first batch of national 5A-level tourism spots. In this course, you may go into the landscape, enjoying many famous spots including Square of “Penglai on the Earth”, Amitabha Temple, Square of “Fairyland on the Beautiful Cliffs”, Palace of Dragon King, Palace of Tien Hou, Temple of Lu Zu, Temple of San Qing, the main pavilion of Penglai Pavilion, etc.. Besides, you may know more about the legends of Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, miracle of Mirage, heroic deeds of Qi Jiguang. In this course, you may not only enjoy the pleasing natural landscapes, but also experience and integration and collision between Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, feeling the extensiveness and profoundness of Chinese Culture.
