As the initial part of the series, the course takes into account the Chinese proficiency of the participants, and aims to maximize the participation of the learners from a common and practical perspective, so as to form a preliminary understanding of Chinese culture. The course is mainly divided into two parts: "Chinese Family Name" and "Chinese First Name". The former part introduced the common surnames and ways of addressing Chinese people, as well as the differences between men and women reflected in surnames. It combines the review of Chinese pinyin and idiom concepts interspersed with the experience and feelings of related ancient Chinese poems. The latter part starts from some common Chinese names and introduces the meaning of beauty, happiness and ideals contained in them and the differences in naming Chinese boys and girls.
