Chaoshou, also known as wonton, is one of the traditional pasta of Han nationality in China. Use thin skin to wrap stuffing. And eat with soup after cooking. Wonton was originated from northern China. Ancient Chinese thought that this was a sealed steamed stuffed bun without seven orifices, so it was called "chaos". According to the rules of Chinese character creation, it was later called "wonton". At this time, wonton is no different from dumplings. Dumplings have not changed significantly for thousands of years, but wonton has flourished in the south and has an independent style. Since the Tang Dynasty, wonton and dumplings have been officially distinguished.

抄手又名馄饨,是中国汉族传统面食之一,用薄面皮包馅儿,通常为煮熟后带汤食用。源于中国北方。古代中国人认为这是一种密封的包子,没有七窍,所以称为"浑沌",依据中国造字的规则,后来才称为"馄饨"。在这时候,馄饨与水饺并无区别。千百年来水饺并无明显改变,但馄饨却在南方发扬光大,有了独立的风格。至唐朝起,正式区分了馄饨与水饺的称呼。
