Preliminary understanding of Longjiang Opera

Longjiang Opera is one of the youngest in China. It is a new local opera that was born in Heilongjiang during the 1950s. Heilongjiang is one of the local operas of the Han tribe. The accompaniment instruments of Longjiang opera are mainly Banhu, Suona, Erhu, Pipa, Flute, Sheng, Dulcimer and other Western instruments such as violin and clarinet. The black ground artistic style makes it unique in a wide range of local dramas. This course will give a brief introduction to the Longjiang Opera.
