This course is divided into two parts: knowledge explanation and field experience. In the first section, by combing the history of opening, the distribution of routes and the important cities along the line and the relationship between the historical Land Silk Road, Maritime Silk Road and modern "One Belt, One Road" policy, help students to build basic knowledge system and cultural consciousness about Silk Road culture from the perspective of “historical facts”. In the second section, students will visit the Tang West Market Museum, the Daming Palace and Shaanxi Academy of Traditional Chinese Opera, in order to understand the important role of the "Silk Road" in the fields of commerce, art and ideology from the perspective of “civilization”. The course content is rich, informative and interesting, which is suitable for students with Chinese proficiency above hsk4.
