The Chinese dreams of space flight, sea exploration, health and happiness have existed since ancient times. They have been recorded in beautiful legends such as Chang'e flying to the moon, Kunpeng spreading its wings, and dragon entering the sea, which contain the infinite imagination of the Chinese people on the stars and the sea. Today, Chang'e has settled in the moon, Jiaolong has explored the sea and Shenzhou has traveled in space... Each beautiful myth has become a reality. China has made great achievements in science and technology which bear the dreams and pursuits of Chinese people. Many achievements are deeply branded with Chinese culture, such as Wukong dark matter detection satellite, Tianyan radio telescope, Jiuzhang quantum computer, Beidou satellite navigation system, Tiangong space station, Hongmeng operating system, etc. It is hoped that through the study of this course, foreign students can understand the cultural connotations behind Chinese scientific and technological achievements, and then have a more comprehensive, distinctive and stereoscopic understanding of Chinese image.
