2This course is divided into two episodes. It tells the story of Yuan Longping, a well-known Chinese scientist, and his hybrid rice. Hybrid rice is hailed as China's fifth great invention. With 9% of the world's arable land, China feeds nearly 20% of the world's population and has contributed significantly to global food security.
本课程分为上、下两集，讲述了袁隆平与杂交水稻的故事。杂交水稻被誉为中国第五大发明，它使中国用占世界不到9%的耕地面积养活了占世界20%的人口，为世界粮食安全做出了巨大贡献。
