The Boao Forum for Asia (Boao Forum For Asia, BFA) is an unofficial, non-profit, regular and designated international organization headquartered in China. It was jointly initiated by 29 member states, and was officially established in Boao Town, Qionghai City, Hainan Province, in February 2001. Boao Town is the permanent location of the headquarters of the Forum and holds regular annual meetings every year. The Boao Forum for Asia provides a high-level dialogue platform for governments, enterprises and scholars to discuss economic, social, environmental and other related issues.The original intention of the forum is to promote economic integration in Asia.The mission of the forum today is to gather positive energy for the development of Asia and the world.
