Lecture 3 : TCM and modern medicine (Western medicine) have different understandings, medical theories and treatment methods of diseases, but they have the same purpose of treating human diseases and they are with different clinical efficacy. They have completely-different medical systems and each is endowed with its own advantages and disadvantages. This lecture mainly introduces the similarities and differences in the understanding, diagnosis and treatment methods as well as the thinking methods between TCM and Western medicine.
