This is a seven character quatrain written by Wang Mian, a poet of Yuan Dynasty. The first two sentences of this poem directly describe ink Wintersweet and the last two sentences praise ink Wintersweet 's noble demeanor, praise ink Wintersweet don't need others to praise it, just want to leave the fragrance of virtue to the world. In fact, it is a metaphor of Wintersweet to express the poet's attitude towards life and his noble sentiment of not flattering the secular world. The poem is ingenious in conception, straight in melody, and full of elegance. The branches of naturally grown plum blossom are relatively stretch and beautiful, which is one of the ten famous flowers in China. There are many kinds of plums. There are many red plums in the south of the Yangtze River, but no red plums in the north. Only yellow plums and wintersweet can be seen. The expression methods of plum painting are also different, including circle plum, ink plum, red plum, white plum, yellow plum, green plum, etc.
