This course is divided into two periods. The first period is designed to guide students to study and discuss the life and major achievements of the famous TCM practitioner Bian Que in a historical context, and eventually summarize his academic influences. The second focuses on the definition and elements of medical schools, and highlights the doctrines, writings and apprenticeship of the Qi school medicine, represented by Bian Que and Chun Yuyi. This course enables students to gain a clearer knowledge and understanding of Bian Que and the Qi school medicine.
