The Buyi people are an ancient nation with a long history and splendid culture in southern China, and their language is Buyi language. The people of Buyi mostly eat rice as their main food, and also eat corn, wheat, buckwheat and so on. The Buyi people are especially fond of glutinous food and have various methods of making it. The Buyi people have many traditional festivals, such as the unique National New Year Festival and the Zhabaige Festival. Buyi costumes by and large retain their ancient characteristics. In this lesson, we will introduce the living customs of the Buyi people and lead international students to appreciate the cultural charm of the Buyi people and the profound minority culture of the Chinese nation.
