This course aims to expose the learners to Huazhou Shadow Puppet, a hometown of Chinese shadow puppet. It will offer them an opportunity to understand the geographical characteristics and its long history. It will enable learners to have an idea of the style, shape, color and production of the shadow puppet, and appreciate its vivid performance. Meanwhile, it will enhance learners' pronunciation, intonation, stress and rhythm. The course is to reach a double teaching goal that learners may enjoy the form and performance of shadow puppet, experience its art culture and promote Chinese language skills with fun as well.
