Lei Qiong World Geopark in Haikou Area is a volcanic geological site and one of the few volcanic clusters with Holocene (10,000 years ago) volcanic eruption activities in China, which has a high value of scientific research, scientific popularization and tourism viewing. The main body of the geological site is a Quaternary volcanic group, consisting of 40 volcanoes. The volcano types are complete and diverse, and the volcanic geological landscape is extremely rich. The park has more than 1,200 kinds of ecological communities of plants represented by tropical rainforests developed on volcanic cones, craters and basaltic terraces, which are integrated with the volcanic landscape and are outstanding representatives of tropical urban volcanic ecology. The ancient villages, stone houses, stone towers and various production and living apparatus built by people using basalt for thousands of years are preserved in the park, which records the volcanic cultural lineage of people and stone together and is known as the classic of Chinese volcanic culture. This course is a real-time lecture. First of all, we will show a video about the environment of the park and the volcano study activities of students from Haikou Wuyuanhe School. Then the representatives of the students and teachers who participated in the study share and exchange their gains and experiences of the study from volcanoes and rocks, volcanoes and earthquakes, volcanic culture, and volcanic ecology.
