Course Objectives: Through the presentation of the rich knowledge of nature and history, stories of characters and ethical norms told in the Three Character Classic, students can understand the importance of the Three Character Classic in the initiation education of Chinese children and the inheritance of Chinese culture. By simple and understandable three-word sentences reading, students can connect the existing knowledge of Chinese language with Chinese culture, read and understand some simple sentences in the Three Character Classic, and know about some well-known characters and idioms in Chinese history .

Course Content: The course is divided into five parts: Introduction to the Three Character Classic, Common sense of life in the Three Character Classic, Stories in the Three Character Classic, the models of hardworking in the Three Character Classic and inheritance of the Three Character Classic. Starting from feeling the language characteristics of the Three Character Classic, we will learn the common-sense topics of children's enlightenment education and Chinese language and historical knowledge contained in it, learn about well-known educational cases in Chinese history，know about the role models who inspire Chinese children to study hard, and finally show the inheritance of Three Character Classic in contemporary China.

课程目标：通过展示《三字经》中丰富的自然历史知识、人物故事和伦理道德规范，让学生了解《三字经》在中国儿童启蒙教育和中华文化传承中的重要性；通过简单易懂的三字语句诵读，让学生将已有的汉语字词知识和中国文化相结合，能读懂一些简单语句，了解并掌握部分人物故事成语。

课程内容：课程分为《三字经》简介、《三字经》中的常识、《三字经》中的人物故事、《三字经》中刻苦勤学的榜样和《三字经》的传承五部分。从感受《三字经》语言特点开始，学习其中包含的儿童启蒙教育常识性话题和中国语言文字、历史知识，了解中国历史上有名的教育案例，认识激励中国儿童勤学的榜样人物，最后展示《三字经》在中国当代的传承。
