China and South Korea both locate in East Asia and face each other across the sea. They have a long history friendly communication for over 2000 years. The two cultures have helped and promoted each other based on frequent exchanges. However, due to the differences in geography, history, humanities and customs, the two countries have some diversities in language, history culture and modern culture. Taking the four major festivals (Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid Autumn Festival) as examples, this course teaches the customs and cultures of China and South Korea, compares and analyzes their respective characteristics, similarities and differences, so as to make more people understand Chinese culture as well as South Korean culture.
