This lecture briefly introduces the nine representative types of traditional operas in Chinese drama, including the basic characteristics and differences of the nine operas. It focuses on Peking opera, introducing the types of role, aria, accompaniment, and manifestation of Peking opera. It is presented in the form of a combination of lecture, pictures and videos, which will increase the audience’s understanding and interest in traditional Chinese operas.
