Chinese folk songs are diverse and unique in their local characteristics and have various classification methods. This course focuses on Han folk songs and minority folk songs. It briefly describes the musical attributes of Haozi(chants), Shange, and Xiaodiao(popular tunes), leading you to experience the musical styles of minority folk songs. We hope that through this course, students will learn about Chinese folk songs and appreciate the unique charm of traditional Chinese music culture.
