In this course we will sort out the national and folk dances in Chinese history, appreciate the Chinese folk dances of different dynasties, analyze the cultural background under economic conditions in different historical periods, as well as the social and cultural functions and aesthetic psychology of the masses through the works. Through the appreciation of the dance works of Dai, Mongolian and Uyghur, we can understand the distinctive regional and ethnic characteristics of the dances of different ethnic groups, which are full of rich local styles and localities, and also reflect the aesthetic taste, thoughts and emotions, ideals and aspirations of different ethnic groups. Through the appreciation and analysis of dance works, we will understand the rich folk art of China.
