Chinese art is an important part of Chinese culture, embodies the thinking and wisdom of the Chinese people, and reflects the style of Chinese society. Various categories of Chinese art have their own characteristics due to different material media, different creative methods, and different social functions. This course will lead students to enter the famous historical building Qingwangfu in Tianjin and the Tianjin University Literature and Art Research Institute, to learn about painting, calligraphy, architecture, seal cutting and other exquisite Chinese art. Through learning about Chinese art masters, students could explore Chinese traditional animal and plant culture, and experience the idea of "Harmony between Man and Nature"----the core spirit in Chinese, so as to show the rich and far-reaching connotation of Chinese culture.
