This course is divided into four parts to carry out the study of Chinese calligraphy. The first part is "Introduction", which aims at students to establish the correct concept of Chinese calligraphy. The second part is "the evolution of calligraphy style". Through teaching, students can understand the origin, development and evolution history of Chinese characters, and master the artistic characteristics of various calligraphy styles. The third part is "the development of calligraphy style". The development of calligraphy style in the past dynasties since the Eastern Han Dynasty from the perspective of history and culture has been interpreted, and the characteristics, connotation and causes of calligraphy style in the past dynasties has been analyzed, so that students can understand the internal relationship between the development of calligraphy style in the past dynasties and the social politics, economy, ideology and culture at that time. The fourth part is "calligraphy appreciation". Through teaching, students can deeply develop the appreciation of Chinese classic calligraphy from the material level (brush style, calligraphy, ink style, art of composition) and spiritual level.
