Guqin is the oldest musical instrument in China, which is listed as "human oral and intangible cultural heritage" by the United Nations. Guqin is a musical instrument with the most Chinese cultural connotation. It is closely related to Chinese history, philosophy, aesthetics, literature and art. It is the crystallization of Chinese traditional culture. This course will tell the story of Guqin from the perspectives of Guqin style, Guqin tunes, Guqin notes and Guqin schools, so that students can have a preliminary understanding of Guqin, and take it as a starting point to lead students to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese culture accumulated by Guqin art itself.
