1China has been a developed country in instrument since ancient times. Musical instruments are divided into eight categories according to the material they use: gold, stone, earth, leather, silk, wood, gourd, and bamboo. There are four kinds of Musical Instruments: blowing, pulling, playing and singing. In traditional Chinese life, instrumental ensembles are mostly used in folk customs and religious rituals. In feudal times, solos were mostly played by literati to entertain themselves with guqin, pipa and Xiao. Through this course, we will talk about the artistic charm of Chinese national string music in the form of explanation and performance. Students can deeply appreciate the beauty of Musical Instruments and comprehend the profound culture and art of the Chinese nation.
